RACING BRAKE OEM CALIPER +1 BBK

When we saw that the market was asking for a BBK but the majority of enthusiasts could not afford the $1500-$3000 price tag ( and that is just for the front set), we put our best foot forward. We worked closely with Racing brake and the IS forums to come up a comprehesive, OEM grade, BBK conversion that utilizes the OEM caliper and increases the rotor diameter. Based on the success of our TT brake adapters, these kits are made to use a MKIV TT Supra Rotor and an OEM IS300 caliper, factory pads and minimal modifications to install. Bleeding is not even necessary unless lines are purchased at the same time. Also no spacers are required for the factory wheels unlike the TT caliper swap so fewer components are required.

Have you ever wondered what happens on a BBK when you wear out the rotors? The replacement costs of BBK rotors can sometimes be in excess of $300. This means expense not only at the front but through the life of the product. Just before we pulled the trigger on our first order of our own development, we found these. We are proud to offer these products designed by RB. These rotor replacements are engineering to reduce fade, increase life of wheel bearing components and look great to top it all off.

Material:

-Alloyed iron formula adds strength and heat resistance. Heat treating further improves rotor performance for a more uniform and stabilized microstructure.

-Forged Aluminum center hat for unsurpassed strength and stiffness over machined hat designs.

 

Vane design

-The cooling vanes are of a convergent nozzle design, which increases airflow and turbulence and makes discs cooler.

Revolutionary Full Floating Mount

-The center-mount flanges for hat mounting to the rotor ring have several benefits. (Illustration #2)
* It allows the ring to be used on either side of the vehicle simply by mounting the hat on either side of the ring (unidirectional).
* The stress load transferred from the ring to the hat is balanced.
* Air inlets are widely open to both inboard and outboard sides of the rotor. More air suctions and even temperature on both sides of the disc surface.
* Heat transfer from the disc surfaces to the hat is even and minimized by increasing the flange length and the airflow around the flanges.
* Mounting flanges are on both friction surfaces ultimately provides excellent heat balance.

-Exclusive full floating design with 10.9 grade alloyed hardware. Hardware is DACRO coated and crimp locking. DACRO is highly corrosion resistant and provides a film for easier movement between the hat and rotor ring as disc expands and contracts and the crimp design provides positive engagement without rattling or torque loss at temperature.

FIGS Supra TT Caliper adapters V3

As seen on my.is. These Caliper adapters press into Supra TT 4-piston front calipers to adapt them to the IS300. These are press fit parts which means that a shop press or C-clamp is required for installation.

Our latest order is now on version 3 or V3, which we added a smoother outer taper for press fit and better bite on the knurled surface. OUR BEST ADAPTERS YET!
